Each week has its own show, so the scenes change from week to week. The shape of the day stays the same.
The four blocks
What happens in each block
Campers move through the same four blocks every day, and each one builds toward Friday.
Acting
Mornings start with games and a read-through, then move to scene work and improvisation. Every camper has a part, and parts are shaped to what a camper wants to try.
Voice and movement
Breath, projection and moving across a stage, taught as games and rhythm. Eunjung leads the block, and campers work in their age groups.
Sets and costumes
Painted scenery, props and costume pieces, made in the craft room and carried into the hall. Campers who prefer the back of the house can spend more of the week here.
Rehearsal
Scenes go from the page to the stage, with cues, entrances and a stage manager calling the show. Thursday is a full run-through, and Friday is the dress rehearsal and the showcase.
